This guide is for operators, white-label owners and platform start-ups (and their CTOs or product heads) who want to add live dealer tables to a platform they own and need to decide how to connect, how to handle the wallet and what to ask before signing. By the end you should be able to compare a direct studio link, an aggregator and custom middleware, and write a sensible scope for live casino API integration services.
It is a technical page, not a sales pitch for gambling. Brandzivio is a software company: we build the platform side only. Licences, studio contracts, certification and legal compliance in every market you serve remain your responsibility, and nothing here is legal advice. If you want a written scope for your platform, see our gaming website and platform development service at /services/gaming-website-development or reach us at /contact.

What is live casino API integration?
Live casino API integration is the work of connecting your player platform (login, player account management or PAM, wallet, lobby and back-office) to a live dealer studio or to a game aggregator. Once connected, tables appear in your lobby, players join a real-time video session, and each bet and win settles against your wallet.
It differs from slot integration. Slots are RNG games that run as software, so a launch URL and a few wallet calls are often enough. A live table adds a continuous video stream plus two-way betting data that must stay in step with a human dealer's pace. That is why timing, retries and failure handling matter much more.
You need this if you run a multi-product operation, a white-label brand or a platform start-up that wants live tables in the same lobby and wallet as your other games. You probably do not need it if you run a single-game site with no wallet. Brandzivio builds software only; you own the licences, the studio or aggregator contracts and legal compliance.
How does a live dealer integration work end to end?
Every provider documents its own endpoints, but the round flow is broadly the same. Treat the steps below as a model to compare against the provider's own documentation, not as a specification.
Video and game data travel separately. Video usually uses WebRTC or low-latency HLS (LL-HLS), while game events and wallet calls run over REST and a WebSocket connection. Push the result as data, so a player whose video lags does not see the outcome at a different moment from everyone else.
Bet windows are short. Vendor guides cite roughly 10 to 15 seconds between hands, which is an estimate and varies by game, so late bets must be refused by your server, not just hidden in the interface. Validate the provider's signature on every round result before crediting a win, using whatever scheme that provider documents.
- 1. The player opens your lobby and picks a table; your platform authenticates them.
- 2. Your platform requests a game launch from the studio or game aggregator, passing a session token.
- 3. The provider returns a launch URL and the player joins the table.
- 4. The bet window opens and the player places bets.
- 5. Each bet is sent to your wallet as a debit call tied to a round ID.
- 6. The dealer finishes the round and the result arrives as a signed data message.
- 7. Your platform validates the signature, finalises the round and credits any win.
- 8. The round closes and both sides keep the records for reconciliation.
Seamless wallet or transfer wallet for live casino?
With a seamless (single) wallet, your platform holds one balance and every bet and win is debited or credited in real time. With a transfer wallet, funds are moved into a separate product balance and moved back later. Track360's June 2026 comparison describes the same split.
Seamless is the usual choice for multi-product operators, but it makes your wallet a latency-sensitive dependency. Transfer is simpler to build but can leave stranded balances. Our recommendation is seamless first, and transfer only if a studio or a legacy product requires it.
| Factor | Seamless wallet | Transfer wallet |
|---|---|---|
| Where the balance sits | One balance in your platform | Copy of funds in a separate product balance |
| Build effort | Higher: real-time debit, credit and rollback endpoints | Lower: transfer in and transfer out calls |
| Player friction | Low: play straight from the main balance | Higher: players move funds before and after play |
| Reconciliation | Per-round ledger matched to studio reports | Matched at transfer level, with stranded-balance checks |
| Responsible-gambling limits | Enforced in one place before each debit | Must be applied across several balances |
| Impact of an outage | Your wallet slowdown can stall live bets | A provider outage affects only funds already moved |
Direct studio, aggregator or custom middleware: how do the options compare?
Source Code Lab (August 2026) states that aggregator integration typically takes four to eight weeks, while direct integration across 20 to 50 providers can take six to twelve months, because each studio is certified and approved separately. These are vendor estimates, not independent benchmarks, and the same article is inconsistent on direct timelines, so use them only for rough planning.
Most new operators start with one aggregator. Direct deals suit exclusive content or very high volume. Studio terms, revenue share and minimums are commercial matters that you negotiate; Brandzivio is not a party to them.
| Route | Time to first launch | Control | Contracts held by | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Direct with one studio | Per studio; each is approved separately | Highest over content and terms | You, with each studio | Exclusive content or very high volume |
| One aggregator | Often weeks, per vendor estimates | Medium: the catalogue is the aggregator's | You, with the aggregator | New operators wanting many tables through one link |
| Custom middleware | Longest: you build and maintain the layer | High over wallet and routing | You, with studios or aggregators behind it | Several providers needing one internal interface |
Which wallet failures and edge cases must you handle?
The wallet is where live casino integrations go wrong. A good build assumes the network will fail and keeps the player's balance correct anyway. The core calls are balance, debit (bet), credit (win), rollback or cancel, and round end.
- Use an idempotency key plus unique transaction and round IDs, so a retried debit never charges the player twice.
- Handle a timeout with an unknown outcome: retry with the same key, roll back debits that stay unconfirmed, and send stuck cases to a dead-letter queue for manual review.
- Check round state on every call: reject a bet after the window closes, return a clear insufficient-balance response, and ignore duplicate round callbacks.
- Secure the channel with signed requests, IP allow-lists, TLS and replay protection.
- Keep an append-only ledger and audit logs, and reconcile daily against the studio's own reports.
How much video latency and infrastructure does live casino need?
AWS guidance for betting and gaming livestreaming (read October 2026) describes architectures for under 300 ms, under 2 seconds, 2 to 5 seconds and 3 to 5 seconds, and keeps game metadata on REST and WebSocket APIs separate from video. The right target depends on the game: decision-based table games feel delay more than roulette does.
Bandwidth and CDN are major recurring costs, but the studio normally supplies the video. Your job as operator is player, lobby and wallet performance. In markets with weaker networks, some providers accept higher latency, so test on mid-range phones and variable mobile connections.
Ask for production latency data and an uptime SLA in writing. Treat sub-250 ms marketing claims as unverified until you have tested them yourself.
Licences, certification and India: what stays with you?
Brandzivio builds software only. You are responsible for gambling licences, studio contracts, certification, tax and legal advice in every market you serve. We do not supply game content, hold studio contracts or promote gambling.
Certification is specific to each jurisdiction. Ask which lab certified the studio, under which standard and for which markets; GLI-19, the standard for interactive gaming systems, is one example you may hear. Your platform also needs responsible gambling tools (deposit and loss limits, self-exclusion, session reminders) and KYC / AML and data protection processes.
India needs particular care. A Mondaq summary of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 (checked 16 October 2026) says it bans online money games, whether of skill or chance, applies to foreign operators serving users in India, and carries imprisonment and fines. Sources differed on its commencement status, so we do not state an in-force date. This is not legal advice; take counsel from a qualified lawyer before targeting any market.
Live casino integration checklist before launch
Use these as things to verify with your provider and your build team.
- Sandbox and test wallet available, with sample rounds for every outcome.
- Signed requests accepted and rejected correctly.
- Debit and credit are idempotent under retries.
- Rollback of unconfirmed debits works.
- Bets after the bet window are refused.
- Result signatures are validated before any credit.
- Session expiry and re-launch behave sensibly.
- Every currency you offer is tested.
- Reconciliation reports match studio reports.
- Back-office switches can enable or disable tables.
- Monitoring and alerts cover wallet errors and timeouts.
- A load test with peak concurrent players has been run.
- Certificates are in hand for each market.
What drives cost and timeline?
Cost depends on the number of studios, the wallet model, the jurisdictions and certification needed, back-office depth, concurrency targets, reporting, and maintenance when studios change their API. Hidden costs include re-testing for new jurisdictions, protocol changes and hosting plus monitoring.
Published market figures for this work are thin and vary widely with scope, so we do not quote a market price here. The Source Code Lab timelines above are the only sourced figures we use, and they are vendor estimates.
Brandzivio's own indicative range for gaming platforms is Rs 2,00,000 - Rs 12,00,000 over 6 - 16 weeks. A live casino integration is scoped after discovery and should not be assumed to fit that range.
How Brandzivio can help
Brandzivio builds gaming websites and platforms with wallets, a secure real-time engine, an admin panel and audit logs, as software only; clients own licensing and compliance. Our gaming platform work covers a game lobby, user accounts and wallet, a WebSocket real-time engine, admin panel and reporting, and anti-fraud and audit logs, using Node.js, WebSockets, React, Redis and PostgreSQL.
We do not claim live casino case studies, studio partnerships or certifications. We can offer a scoping call and a written integration outline (endpoints, round flow and wallet rules) before any build. Studio and aggregator contracts, licences and compliance remain yours.
Planning to add live-dealer tables to your platform? Share your wallet model, target markets and whether you use an aggregator, and we will send a written scope and integration outline. Frequently asked questions
What is a live casino API?
A live casino API is the set of endpoints and messages that link your platform to a live dealer studio or aggregator. It handles game launch, session tokens, real-time round events and wallet calls such as debit, credit and rollback, while the video stream travels on a separate channel.
How does live dealer casino integration work?
Your platform requests a game launch with a session token, the provider returns a launch URL, and the player joins a table. During the bet window, bets become wallet debits tied to a round ID. When the signed result arrives, your platform validates it, credits any win and records the round.
What is the difference between a seamless wallet and a transfer wallet?
A seamless wallet keeps one balance on your platform, debited and credited in real time for each bet and win. A transfer wallet moves funds into a separate product balance and back later. Seamless gives a smoother player experience but needs more reliable real-time wallet endpoints.
How long does it take to integrate a live casino provider?
It depends on scope. Source Code Lab (August 2026) says an aggregator integration typically takes four to eight weeks, while many direct studio integrations can take months because each studio is approved separately. These are vendor estimates, so confirm timelines with your provider and builder.
Should I integrate a live casino studio directly or through an aggregator?
Most new operators begin with one aggregator because a single integration gives access to many tables and one contract. Direct integration suits operators who want exclusive content or have very high volume, accepting separate approvals and contracts with each studio. Commercial terms are negotiated by the operator.
Do live casino games need certification before launch?
Usually yes, but requirements are jurisdiction-specific. Ask which lab certified the studio, under which standard (for example GLI-19) and for which markets. Licensing and certification are the operator's responsibility, and Brandzivio, as a software builder, does not supply them. Take legal advice for each market.
