This page is for platform owners, white-label operators, agencies and in-house tech leads who already have, or are negotiating, access to slot content and now need to decide how to build the launch, wallet and back-office layer. After reading it you should be able to choose between a direct studio and an aggregator, pick a wallet model, list what the integration must handle, and judge whether a vendor's quote is complete.
It is written for markets where the content is lawful and the operator holds the right licences. It is not legal advice, and it does not help anyone offer real-money slots to players in India, where the law changed in 2026 (see the second section). If you need a shorter next step, you can share your slot integration scope with us at /contact before reading on.

What is slot game API integration?
Slot game API integration means connecting a slot studio's or aggregator's API to your player account system and wallet, so that games open inside your website or app and every bet and win is recorded on your side. The player never leaves your brand, but the game itself is served by the provider.
An important point for buyers: the game maths and the RNG (random number generator) run on the studio's remote game server (RGS), not in your code. You do not write or alter the outcome logic. Your work is the platform side, and it has four pieces:
- Game launch and sessions: creating a session for a player and opening the game in an iframe or by redirect.
- Wallet callbacks: answering the provider's bet (debit), win (credit) and rollback requests accurately and quickly.
- Round history and reconciliation: storing every round so support and finance can match your ledger with the provider's reports.
- Back-office controls: switching games on or off, setting limits, and viewing reports.
Who needs this, and who should not proceed?
Slot content is regulated almost everywhere, so the first question is whether you should build at all. A short fit check:
- Good fit: licensed operators, B2B platforms and agencies building for clients in markets where the content is lawful, and no-stake social or free-to-play slot-style apps where no money is staked.
- India: the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibits offering or facilitating online money games, whether of skill or chance, and bars their advertising and payment facilitation (Mondaq summary, 2025). Law-firm commentary (AMS Shardul, April 2026) reports that the Act and its Rules came into force on 1 May 2026, with e-sports and no-stake online social games treated separately. This was checked on 16 Oct 2026; please verify the gazette notification and take Indian legal advice.
- Not a fit: anyone targeting Indian players with real-money slots, and anyone who wants traffic, bonuses or player acquisition. Brandzivio is a development service only and does not promote gambling.
- This is not legal advice. Ask a qualified lawyer in each market where you plan to operate.
How does a slot game API integration work, round by round?
Most integrations also sync a game catalogue: names, categories, RTP (return to player), supported currencies, languages and mobile support. Providers usually expose a sandbox where you can test everything before going live.
The exact endpoints, request signing and error codes are private to each provider and are shared only after onboarding. They always override this page. In general terms, one round moves through these steps:
- 1. Launch: your platform asks the provider for a game session, sending the player ID, game ID, session token, currency, language and return URL.
- 2. The provider returns a launch URL, which you open in an iframe or by redirect.
- 3. The player spins. The provider calls your callback URL to debit the bet from your wallet.
- 4. The round runs on the remote game server. If it produces a win, the provider calls your wallet again to credit it.
- 5. The round closes, and its details become available as round history for reconciliation.
- 6. Failure case: if a debit reaches you but your reply is lost, the provider retries the same request. An unfinished round may later need a rollback. Your code must treat the retry and the rollback safely.
Direct studio, aggregator or white-label: which route fits?
A game aggregator gives one integration for many studios. A direct studio API gives more control but multiplies the work. A white-label platform removes most of the build but also most of the control. The table compares the four common routes.
For scale: Source Code Lab (updated August 2026) estimates that integrating 20-50 providers directly takes roughly 6-12 months including certification and compliance sign-off, against about 4-8 weeks through an aggregator. That is a vendor estimate, not independent research, and it covers casino content in general.
Aggregators usually earn a revenue share on gross gaming revenue (GGR). There is no standard figure; it is negotiated with the aggregator and paid to them, not to your developer. As advice: with one studio, go direct; with three or more, an aggregator usually saves effort; keep a few top titles direct only if you need the control or have the volume to justify it. To plan the platform side, see our gaming website and platform development service at /services/gaming-website-development.
| Route | Integrations to build | Time to launch | Control | Who holds the contracts | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Direct studio API | One per studio | Often quoted at 1-2 weeks per studio API (vendor estimate) | Highest | You, with each studio | One or two studios, or top titles you want full control over |
| One aggregator | One | About 4-8 weeks (vendor estimate) | Medium | You, with the aggregator | Three or more studios, a faster launch |
| Several aggregators | One per aggregator | Longer than one aggregator | Medium to high | You, with each aggregator | Wider catalogue, less dependence on one supplier |
| White-label platform | Usually none | Shortest | Lowest | The platform owner | Operators who want a branded front end and little engineering |
Seamless wallet or transfer wallet for slots?
In a seamless wallet (also called a single wallet), the balance stays with you and the provider calls your wallet on every bet and win. In a transfer wallet, funds are moved into a provider-held game balance and moved back afterwards (Track360, June 2026).
The trade-offs are real. A seamless wallet gives one ledger and no transfer friction, but each spin is a call to your servers, so the wallet must be fast, reliable and idempotent, and an outage affects every game at once. A transfer wallet is simpler to build, but it tends to cause stranded balances and split reporting.
Providers may support either model, so confirm which one your aggregator or studio uses before you design anything. As advice rather than a promise, most multi-game operators with a reliable backend choose the seamless wallet.
Slot-specific checklist: what must the integration handle?
RTP needs care. Some studios offer several RTP settings per game, so your catalogue must store the RTP you actually run and show it to players where the rules of your market require it.
Example (an illustration, not a client project): the provider sends a debit of 10 units with transaction ID T-1001. Your database commits it, but the reply times out. The provider retries T-1001. A correct wallet recognises the ID, does not debit twice, and returns the same status and balance. If the provider later cancels the round, a rollback for T-1001 reverses it once only.
The checklist below is general good practice for any build, ours or someone else's; the provider's own specification is always the authority. Ask whether the integration...
- makes debit and credit idempotent, using the provider's transaction or round ID as the idempotency key;
- returns the provider's required JSON status plus the post-transaction balance, not only HTTP 200;
- handles rollback safely whether it arrives before or after the original bet;
- verifies the request signature exactly as the provider specifies;
- creates and cancels free spins (free rounds) campaigns through the API without double-crediting;
- treats bonus buy and feature-buy bets as normal debits;
- records jackpot contributions and jackpot wins as separate events;
- stores round history and the replay link for support disputes;
- reconciles daily against the provider's reports;
- is load-tested at peak spins per second, with monitoring and alerts on callback errors.
How long does slot game API integration take, and what does it cost?
Timeline, as vendor estimates: an aggregator integration is about 4-8 weeks, and a single direct studio is often quoted at 1-2 weeks per studio API. Certification and regulator approval in licensed markets add time and sit outside the software scope. Accredited test labs such as GLI and iTech Labs certify RNG and game fairness; for slots this is checked on the studio's server, not in your wallet code, but your platform may still face its own approval rounds.
Cost drivers: the number of studios or aggregators, the wallet model, a new build versus an existing platform, back-office and reporting depth, currencies and languages, free spins tooling, load testing, certification rounds and support.
Brandzivio's indicative range for gaming website and platform development is Rs 2,00,000 - Rs 12,00,000 over 6 - 16 weeks. An integration-only job is scoped after discovery and should not be assumed to fall in that range. Be wary of marketplace listings that promise a flat low price and one-week delivery; they usually leave out wallet design, testing and support. Ongoing costs include hosting, monitoring, provider API changes and aggregator fees.
How to choose a slot integration partner: questions to ask
Red flags: promises of slot content access or licences, one-week fixed prices, no mention of wallets or testing, and no legal statement. Ask to see a test plan and a handover list. Whoever you hire, ask these before work starts:
- Will you give a written scope and the API specification before any build begins?
- Which wallet model is used, and how is idempotency guaranteed?
- How are rollbacks and disputed rounds tested in the provider's sandbox?
- What load-test evidence can you show?
- Who is alerted when callbacks fail, and how quickly?
- Where is player data stored, who can access it, and how does it meet the DPDP Act where relevant? Also ask how KYC and responsible gaming tools will be connected.
- Who owns the source code at handover? Agree it in writing.
- What support and maintenance terms apply after launch?
- Which markets will the vendor refuse to work for?

Frequently asked questions
What is a slot game API?
A slot game API is the interface a studio or aggregator provides so your platform can launch its games and exchange bet, win and rollback messages with your wallet. The outcome is generated on the provider's remote game server, so your code handles sessions, balances and records only.
How does slot game API integration work?
Your platform requests a game session and opens the returned launch URL. When the player spins, the provider calls your callback URL to debit the bet, then credits any win. Failed or unfinished rounds are retried or rolled back, and round history is kept for reconciliation. Exact endpoints come from the provider after onboarding.
What is the difference between a seamless wallet and a transfer wallet?
With a seamless wallet the balance stays on your platform and the provider calls it for every bet and win, giving one ledger. With a transfer wallet, funds move into a provider-held balance and back. Seamless needs a fast, idempotent backend; transfer is simpler but can strand balances.
Should I integrate slot studios directly or through an aggregator?
With one studio, going direct is reasonable. With three or more, an aggregator usually saves effort because you build one integration instead of many, though it normally takes a revenue share on gross gaming revenue. Some operators keep a few top titles direct for control. Compare contracts and fees before deciding.
How long does slot game API integration take?
Vendor estimates suggest about 4-8 weeks through an aggregator and often 1-2 weeks per direct studio API. Certification and regulator approval in licensed markets add time beyond the software work. Brandzivio's indicative gaming platform timeline is 6 - 16 weeks; an integration-only job is scoped after discovery.
Is online real-money gaming legal in India?
Under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, offering or facilitating online money games is prohibited, whether skill or chance. Law-firm commentary says it took effect on 1 May 2026 (checked 16 Oct 2026). Verify the gazette and take Indian legal advice. Brandzivio builds software only.
